Accountant – Procurement Oversight

About the role

Khione Electromechanical and A/C Works is looking for a detail-oriented Accountant – Procurement Oversight in Ras Al Khaimah to support its growing operations. The role covers accounting functions, procurement documentation, tax compliance and financial reporting, and calls for strong financial expertise, supplier management skills and good coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders. It is a full-time position with an estimated salary of AED 6,500 to AED 9,500 per month.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger transactions.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, management accounts and account reconciliations.
• Handle UAE VAT accounting, reconciliations and VAT return preparation, and support corporate tax compliance and related reporting.
• Oversee procurement activities such as supplier quotations, purchase orders and payment processing, and maintain supplier records and procurement documentation.
• Maintain financial control procedures, monitor cash flow, assist with budgeting and identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks, tax advisors and internal stakeholders, and ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE.
• ACCA, CMA, CPA, CA or an equivalent professional qualification completed or in progress is an advantage.
• Background in engineering, technical services, construction or SMEs is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Hands-on experience with UAE VAT reconciliations and VAT return preparation; knowledge of UAE corporate tax is an advantage.
• Purchasing, supplier management, quotations, purchase orders and procurement documentation experience is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
