Accountant – Record to Report (R2R) – Corporate Services

About the role

The Accountant – Record to Report (R2R) will join Al Futtaim Group’s Financial Shared Services (FSS) team, supporting the automotive business units. The role ensures accurate month‑end close, balance‑sheet substantiation and timely management reporting while driving process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control the monthly closing of books with FSS teams to meet group timelines.
• Continuously improve month‑end activities to enhance financial quality for business units.
• Review key automotive accounts in the trial balance and substantiate balances.
• Standardise accounting processes, perform regular reconciliations and improve fixed‑asset management.
• Prepare and submit accurate monthly management reports using approved templates.
• Support overseas entities by reviewing processes and sharing best practices.
• Coordinate external audits, providing explanations and schedules to auditors.
• Assist in the preparation of standalone financial statements for automotive entities in line with group governance.

Required profile

• Proficiency with financial software and ERP systems, especially SAP.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks effectively.
