Accountant – Shared Services & Process Improvement

About the role

The Accountant will lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of accounting policies, systems and procedures for JD.com’s shared service centre in Dubai, ensuring compliance and high‑quality financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and enhance group accounting policies, systems and procedures, ensuring compliance with laws and standards.
• Oversee policy implementation, analyse issues promptly and ensure accurate accounting information.
• Collaborate with other departments to communicate and apply accounting policies across the company.
• Establish and run a quality‑monitoring system for the shared service centre, including daily monitoring.
• Consolidate operational data, develop metrics and create visual dashboards.
• Standardise processes, productise tools such as policy libraries, SOPs and process lists.
• Act as Project Manager for process‑improvement, risk‑management or user‑experience projects.
• Undertake additional tasks assigned by the head of the centre.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting or related field, with a CPA certification.
• Experience in a financial shared service centre or BPO operations and strong accounting background.
• Proven project‑management experience with ability to coordinate cross‑functional resources.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and problem‑solving skills.
• High integrity, proactive attitude, strong sense of responsibility and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification.
• Project management experience.
