Accounts Officer (Native Arabic Speaker)

About the role

Blue Ocean Corporation is seeking an experienced Accounts Officer who is a native Arabic speaker to manage daily accounting operations in the UAE. The role involves handling the full accounting cycle, ensuring VAT compliance, and supporting month‑end close and reporting activities.

Key responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and receivable, record receipts, payments and journal entries.
• Prepare and maintain invoices, vouchers, receipts and other financial documents.
• Perform bank, supplier, customer and general‑ledger reconciliations.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and payables, ensuring timely follow‑up.
• Assist with monthly closing, financial statements, management reports and account schedules.
• Prepare and submit UAE VAT returns and ensure compliance with VAT regulations.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
• Coordinate finance‑related matters with suppliers, customers, banks and internal departments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
• 4–6 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a senior role.
• Native Arabic speaker with strong English communication skills.
• Hands‑on experience with UAE accounting practices, VAT compliance and financial reporting.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and maintain accurate records.
