Activities Officer – Recreation & Leisure

About the role

The Activities Officer is the primary point of contact for all recreation and leisure services offered on the property. You will ensure guests enjoy a safe, fun, and memorable experience across pools, beach, fitness centre, entertainment zones and children’s activity areas.

Key responsibilities

• Provide information on all recreational facilities and assist guests with bookings, registrations and scheduling.
• Promote a welcoming atmosphere while enforcing safety rules and regulations.
• Monitor activities, respond to emergencies according to local procedures, and provide first‑aid assistance until medical services arrive.
• Handle point‑of‑sale transactions, process payments for rentals, facility use and retail sales.
• Support private functions and group events within the recreation areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of equipment, report accidents or unsafe conditions, and complete required safety training.
• Deliver professional guest service, answer telephone inquiries, and uphold company policies and appearance standards.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lb unaided and heavier items with assistance.
• Fine motor skills for handling equipment, cash and POS devices.
• Comfort working in narrow, elevated, sloping or slippery environments.
• Strong communication skills, professional demeanor and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
