Actuarial Analyst – Health Insurance

About the role

Cigna Insurance Middle East is seeking an Actuarial Analyst to join its Dubai team. The analyst will support the Middle East and Africa actuarial function, providing insights for the UAE health insurance market and regional businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Process data, perform reconciliations and conduct analytics.
• Conduct actuarial pricing for the Middle East and Africa, including experience studies, book rate setting, pricing assumptions and methodology updates.
• Support medical cost driver analysis and trend reporting to inform business decisions.
• Develop dashboards and reports to improve actuarial analysis speed and quality.
• Develop, test and maintain pricing and underwriting tools.
• Assist with monthly financial close, reserving process, review of reserve assumptions and communication of financial results.
• Help compile regulatory submissions and collaborate closely with Data & Analytics, Underwriting and Finance teams.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance or related field.
• Progress towards Associate credentials with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries or the Society of Actuaries and commitment to attain Fellowship.
• Minimum two years of actuarial experience in the Middle East, preferably health insurance.
• Self‑motivated, results‑driven with strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
