Acute Medicine Specialist

About the role

A leading healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking an experienced Acute Medicine Specialist to provide rapid assessment, diagnosis and management of adults with acute medical illnesses. The workplace is on site, and the salary range is 480,000 to 600,000.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients presenting with acute medical conditions
• Diagnose and treat conditions such as sepsis, respiratory infections, acute cardiac symptoms and metabolic emergencies
• Perform rapid clinical assessments and start appropriate investigations and treatment
• Stabilize patients and coordinate admissions, referrals or transfers when needed
• Manage complex cases with emergency medicine and other specialists, and monitor patient progress
• Maintain accurate medical records and follow clinical protocols

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree
• MD/DNB in Internal Medicine or equivalent postgraduate qualification
• At least 3 years of post-specialization experience preferred
• Experience managing acute medical admissions and emergencies
• Strong clinical judgment, decision-making and communication skills
