Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (UAE National)

About the role

The Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) provides both basic and advanced pre‑hospital care to patients in emergency situations across Abu Dhabi. This role is open to UAE nationals and involves rapid response, on‑scene assessment, and coordination with medical facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls, drive to the scene, and deliver advanced life support.
• Assess injury or illness severity, interpret ECGs, and determine appropriate interventions.
• Rescue and extricate victims using proper medical and rescue techniques.
• Communicate with medical personnel and arrange patient reception at the appropriate facility.
• Provide critical care including AED/defibrillation, CPR, bleeding control, shock management, and IV therapy.
• Administer medications such as crystalloid solutions, glucagon, epinephrine, aspirin, and sublingual nitroglycerin.
• Maintain ambulance, medical equipment, and supplies; ensure proper disinfection and restocking.
• Collaborate with dispatch, police, fire services, and hospital departments to ensure efficient emergency response.

Required profile

• UAE national with a valid Advanced EMT certification.
• Ability to work under pressure and make quick clinical decisions.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and medical teams.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
