Aerodynamics Engineer – UAV & Aircraft Design

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Aerodynamics Engineer to lead the design, analysis, and validation of advanced UAV and aircraft platforms. The role combines conceptual design, detailed aerodynamic optimisation, and close collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to conceptual, preliminary and detailed aerodynamic design of UAV and drone platforms.
• Develop and optimise aircraft and UAV designs for efficiency, performance, stability and control.
• Create and modify aerospace models using CATIA or similar CAD tools.
• Set up, run and interpret CFD simulations to evaluate lift, drag and overall aerodynamic performance.
• Identify design improvements from CFD results and optimise aerodynamic characteristics.
• Assess flight dynamics, stability and control characteristics.
• Collaborate with structural, avionics, systems and payload teams to integrate aerodynamic requirements.
• Participate in design reviews, prototype development, testing and flight validation.
• Prepare technical calculations, simulation reports and engineering documentation.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety and technical standards and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Aerospace, Aeronautical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in aerodynamic engineering, aircraft/UAV design or related aviation environments.
• Extensive hands‑on experience in aircraft, UAV or drone aerodynamic design.
• Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of aerodynamics, fluid mechanics and flight dynamics.
