Aerospace Technician - Jebel Ali Free Zone

About the role

Collins Aerospace, part of RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company, is hiring an onsite Technician in the Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai. The technician performs inspection, repair, modification and overhaul of components according to technical data, and takes part in shop and facility improvement activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform inspection, repair, modification and overhaul of components in accordance with technical data.
• Complete all regulatory training.
• Take part in shop and facility continuous improvement activities and in scheduled shop audits.
• Carry out area cleaning and maintenance as required.
• Follow shop rules, safety requirements and regulations, and show knowledge of EHS risks and the benefits of improving EHS performance.
• Handle ad hoc tasks as required or assigned.
• Communicate with maintenance personnel at all levels, keeping co-workers and leadership informed of progress and difficulties.
• Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, drawings and other specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repair, replacement or modification.

Required profile

• High school diploma or technical diploma.
• Fluent in English, verbal and written.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in a related activity, preferably in an MRO shop.
• Preferred: Aircraft Maintenance Engineering diploma or degree.
