Agriculture Supervisor – Fruit and Vegetable Farm

About the role

Apt Resources is looking for an experienced Agriculture Supervisor to lead daily operations at a leading fruit and vegetable farm in Abu Dhabi. You will manage staff, oversee crop health, maintain equipment, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assign and supervise duties such as soil tilling, planting, irrigation, crop storage, and machinery maintenance.
• Determine manpower requirements, schedule daily activities, and ensure efficient task completion.
• Monitor workers for unsafe or inefficient practices and take corrective action.
• Address grievances and mediate disputes to maintain a harmonious work environment.
• Operate farm machinery, including trucks and tractors, for transportation and fieldwork.
• Prepare and purchase farm supplies such as insecticides, machine parts, lubricants, and tools.
• Collaborate with the manager to assess weather and soil conditions for effective planning.
• Review and verify reports on timekeeping, payroll, production, crop yield, farm conditions, and equipment breakdowns.
• Oversee repair, adjustment, and maintenance of farm machinery and equipment.
• Train workers in fieldwork techniques, safety procedures, and identifying crop diseases and pest infestations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in agricultural supervision or farm management.
• Strong knowledge of crop production, pest management, and farm equipment.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding outdoor environment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in farm management software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in agriculture.
