AI-First Full Stack Engineer

About the role

AlgoDriven builds AI software for the automotive industry, helping dealer groups, banks and OEMs appraise, inspect and price vehicles. It is looking for an AI-first full stack engineer who ships fast, working in a small team with high ownership and few handoffs. The role is full-time and on-site, five days a week in the Dubai office.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain secure, well-documented REST APIs in PHP and Node.js, used by internal apps and customer and partner integrations
• Model data and write efficient queries in MySQL and PostgreSQL, including schema changes and performance tuning
• Build responsive React front ends on top of the APIs you create
• Take features from idea to production: design, code, tests, deployment and monitoring
• Use AI coding agents and assistants (such as Claude Code, Cursor or Codex) to ship faster, while reviewing and testing their output
• Keep up with new AI developer tooling and bring the best of it into the team's way of working
• Work directly with product, customers and the wider team to solve real problems

Required profile

• 3+ years as an employed software engineer building production web applications (internships and study do not count)
• Proven AI-first workflow: using the latest AI coding tools every day and showing how they make you more productive
• Clear, professional spoken and written English
• Enjoys a startup environment with high ownership and few handoffs

Required skills

• Strong backend engineering in PHP (e.g. Laravel) and Node.js, including production APIs
• Professional experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL
• Professional React experience
• Solid habits with Git, code review and automated testing
• Nice to have: TypeScript, Docker, cloud deployment (AWS, GCP or Azure), integrating LLM APIs into products, and experience with automotive, marketplace or pricing data
