Air Conditioning Technician

About the role

Rotana Hotels is looking for a passionate and dynamic Air Conditioning Technician to join the maintenance team at Beach Bay Hotel Al Mirfa. You will be responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing temperature and air‑quality control systems while delivering exceptional guest service.

Key responsibilities

• Repair, maintain, and provide technical attention to all electrical and mechanical refrigeration systems, including freezers, fridges, ice makers, fan coil units, and chillers.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all air‑conditioning and refrigeration equipment throughout the hotel.
• Check performance of refrigeration components, door closing systems, defrosting mechanisms, and automation of ice makers.
• Respond to maintenance requests from all departments and ensure routine cleaning of fan coil and air‑handling unit filters.
• Monitor air‑conditioning and chilled water system performance and cooperate with engineering colleagues to diagnose failures.
• Control venting of CFCs, overhaul equipment, and verify refrigeration and oil levels.
• Coordinate with the Engineering Storekeeper for parts procurement and ensure compliance with technical regulations and safety standards.

Required profile

• Diploma in refrigeration systems maintenance or building services engineering.
• Proven experience in a similar role within a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Good command of English.
• Ability to identify faults and rectify subsystems.
• Self‑motivated, hands‑on, adaptable, and able to work under pressure.
