Airport Emergency Planning Officer (UAE National Only)

About the role

The Airport Emergency Planning Officer supports the development, coordination and maintenance of the airport’s Emergency Preparedness and Business Continuity programmes. Reporting to the Emergency Planning & Business Continuity Manager, the role ensures that plans are current, drills are executed and regulatory requirements of the GCAA and ICAO are met.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing and updating the Airport Emergency Plan (AEP) and related annexes, incorporating inputs from all departments.
• Maintain emergency contact lists, response role assignments and version control in the Document Management System.
• Support the documentation, testing and upkeep of Business Continuity Plans, Business Impact Analyses and critical function inventories.
• Help maintain Crisis Management Plans and record actions during incidents in the Emergency Operations Centre.
• Plan, schedule and log emergency exercises (table‑top, partial and full‑scale) and track training compliance.
• Collect data for risk assessments, maintain the risk register and ensure mitigation actions are documented.
• Ensure all emergency and continuity documents comply with GCAA CAR Part IX/X, ICAO Annexes 14/19 and internal standards.

Required profile

• UAE national.
• Experience in emergency planning, business continuity or crisis management within an airport or similar high‑security environment.
• Familiarity with GCAA and ICAO regulatory frameworks.
• Strong organisational and documentation skills.
