Alternate Site Manager

About the role

The Alternate Site Manager co‑manages daily operations, maintenance, personnel and services for a government contract site in Abu Dhabi. This role supports the Site Manager and may act as the primary authority during the Site Manager’s absence.

Key responsibilities

• Manage basic support services and labor force, supervising skilled workers across multiple departments.
• Schedule personnel, oversee workload distribution, and ensure quality control in line with the Performance Work Statement.
• Communicate new requirements, concerns and issues to the Site Manager/PMO and submit timely operational reports.
• Maintain compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards, including NFPA fire alarm and suppression requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years management experience and at least 8 years in facilities operations, HVAC, electrical, fire alarm/suppression, logistics or related fields.
• Experience working with US government/military and host‑nation personnel; ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET US clearance and US citizenship.
• Strong organizational, communication and problem‑solving skills; willingness to work shifts and 24/7 operations.

Required skills

• NFPA certification and knowledge of NFPA requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications for reporting and presentations.
• Technical expertise in fire alarm systems, fire suppression systems, HVAC, electrical systems, heavy equipment, asset visibility and logistics.
