Aluminum & Glass Draftsman

About the role

The Aluminum & Glass Draftsman creates precise technical drawings for aluminium and glass elements used in buildings, shops, offices and façades. You will translate architectural concepts and site measurements into detailed shop, fabrication and installation drawings.

Key responsibilities

• Produce 2D CAD drawings for windows, doors, curtain walls, shopfronts, skylights, partitions and glass façades.
• Develop sections, elevations, plans and detailed installation drawings.
• Generate fabrication and cutting details for aluminium profiles, glass panels and accessories.
• Review architectural and structural drawings, identify discrepancies and verify site measurements when required.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants and site teams to ensure drawing accuracy.
• Select appropriate aluminium profiles, glass types, hardware and accessories according to project specifications.
• Prepare material take‑offs, cutting lists and as‑built drawings.
• Maintain drawing records, revisions and document control, and provide technical support to fabrication and site teams.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of aluminium and glass fabrication and installation processes.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines.
• Good coordination and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Revit or other 3D modelling software (advantage).
