Anchor Foreman – Offshore Construction

About the role

The Anchor Foreman supports the Barge Foreman in preparing and operating offshore barges for construction projects. This position ensures safe and accurate anchor handling, monitoring, and documentation throughout the lay operation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Barge Foreman in setting up the barge at work locations.
• Prepare anchors, pennant wires and various buoys during barge mobilization.
• Inspect the barge mooring system, including anchor winches and wires, and report findings.
• Plot and verify anchor positions according to approved patterns or senior guidance.
• Monitor barge positioning during anchor repositioning with Anchor Handling Tugs (AHTS).
• Record and maintain anchor‑handling documentation in line with vessel procedures.
• Report accidents, incidents and near‑misses for investigation.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of offshore experience, preferably in offshore construction.
• Good written and spoken English communication skills.
• Knowledge of standard offshore safety training, HSEMS, environmental and hazardous material awareness.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Keen eye for detail and strong adherence to company policies and HSE standards.
