Applications Engineer – Quick Opening Closures

About the role

The Applications Engineer will support the full lifecycle of the Quick Opening Closures (QOC) product line, providing technical solutions, product recommendations, and accurate quotations. Working closely with sales, engineering, operations, and customers, the role bridges technical expertise with commercial needs.

Key responsibilities

• Review customer inquiries and technical specifications for QOC products.
• Prepare high‑quality techno‑commercial proposals and perform QOC ID/wall‑thickness calculations in line with ASME and industry codes.
• Manage proposals through the bid cycle, maintain quote registers, and track progress in CRM.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure timely, compliant quotations.
• Support order execution by ensuring proper documentation, technical clarity, and effective customer communication.
• Identify and mitigate risks throughout proposal and order stages, and travel to customer sites, vendor locations, and manufacturing facilities as required.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience in application engineering, technical proposals, or sales support.
• Strong technical understanding of pressure‑containing equipment, especially Quick Opening Closures.
• Knowledge of ASME Section VIII, ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, ASTM B16.5, B16.34 and related material grades.
• Proven ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and datasheets.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and CRM tools.
• Willingness to travel regionally and internationally.
