Arabic-English Translator for Technical Training

About the role

The position supports EDGE's training programmes for Arabic‑speaking clients by providing high‑quality interpretation and translation. Acting as the linguistic bridge between instructors and participants, the professional ensures technical concepts are conveyed accurately in both English and Arabic.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver accurate simultaneous interpretation between English and Arabic during classroom instruction and practical training sessions.
• Translate training curricula, supporting materials, and documentation from English to Arabic (and vice versa) while preserving technical terminology.
• Provide professional interpretation support during client meetings and stakeholder engagements, maintaining confidentiality.
• Participate in scenario‑based role‑play activities to enhance realistic learning outcomes.
• Manage translation of client correspondence, ensuring clarity, consistency, and a professional tone.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native fluency in both Arabic and English with demonstrated professional proficiency.
• Proven experience in simultaneous interpretation within technical, professional, or defence environments.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong attention to detail and terminology accuracy.
