Arabic Teacher (Islamic) – Full‑Time, Dubai

About the role

Deliver high‑quality Arabic lessons in line with GEMS curriculum, supporting both native speakers and non‑speakers. The role includes supervising assigned students, coordinating with teaching assistants, and fostering a safe, values‑driven learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Arabic A (speakers) and B (non‑speakers) lessons following departmental schemes of work and GEMS Core Values.
• Use the school’s Teacher Planner to document lesson delivery and ensure compliance with the school’s Learning Policy.
• Assess student progress, record achievement, set and mark homework, and prepare students for examinations.
• Identify pupils with additional needs and refer them for support where appropriate.
• Contribute to the development and revision of schemes of work and share best practices with colleagues.
• Maintain accurate records, produce subject reports, and communicate progress to parents.
• Participate in staff meetings, committees, and other duties as assigned by line managers.

Required profile

• Recognised Arabic teaching qualification.
• Minimum two years of relevant teaching experience in schools.
• Ability to teach Arabic to both native speakers and non‑speakers.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with students, staff, and parents.
