Architect - BIM Engineer

About the role

An experienced Architect / BIM Engineer is sought to manage architectural coordination and BIM implementation for projects in Abu Dhabi. The role covers architectural design coordination, BIM modelling, clash detection, shop drawings and authority compliance, ensuring accurate and coordinated deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Review architectural IFC drawings, specifications and BOQs, and coordinate architectural works with structural and MEP disciplines
• Resolve design and constructability issues with consultants and ensure compliance with project requirements and authority regulations
• Develop, manage and update BIM models (LOD 300-400) in Revit, perform clash detection in Navisworks and follow the BIM Execution Plan
• Prepare and review architectural shop drawings, mock-ups and material submittals, and incorporate approved changes into models and drawings
• Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi authority requirements (ADM/DMT, Estidama, Civil Defense) and support authority submissions
• Support site teams, attend coordination meetings and site inspections, and help resolve site queries and RFIs
• Support as-built drawings, handover documents and O&M manuals

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering
• 10 years of total experience in architectural engineering and BIM (minimum 6-7 years in UAE/Abu Dhabi preferred)
• Experience in residential, commercial, high-rise or mixed-use projects, preferably with main contractors or PMCs in Abu Dhabi
• Strong coordination, communication and attention to detail, able to handle multiple deliverables under tight deadlines

Required skills

• Revit Architecture (advanced), Navisworks Manage and AutoCAD
• Familiarity with BIM standards (ISO 19650) and BEPs; BIM 360 / ACC preferred
• Knowledge of architectural detailing, construction methods and construction sequencing
