Architect – Building Projects (Construction)

About the role

The Architect will lead the development of architectural designs for building projects, ensuring that all drawings, specifications and site works align with the design intent, client requirements and regulatory standards. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams from concept through construction and final handover.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review architectural drawings, shop drawings and construction details.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP and other engineering disciplines to resolve design conflicts.
• Review project specifications, BOQs and material submittals for compliance.
• Conduct site inspections to verify quality and adherence to approved drawings.
• Collaborate with consultants, clients, subcontractors and suppliers on design‑related matters.
• Review RFIs, technical queries and shop‑drawing submissions.
• Support material selection, approval processes and value‑engineering studies.
• Participate in design coordination meetings and progress reviews.
• Monitor project progress and provide technical support to site teams.
• Prepare as‑built drawings and handover documentation.
• Ensure health, safety and quality standards are met throughout execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
• 5–8 years of experience on building construction projects.
• Experience in the UAE/GCC region is highly preferred.
• Membership in a recognized professional body is an advantage.
• Experience across residential, commercial, high‑rise, mixed‑use, hospitality and villa developments.
• Prior work with main contractors is desirable.
