Architect

About the role

A full-time Architect position is open, with the successful candidate responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of buildings and other structures so that they are functional, safe, sustainable and aesthetically pleasing.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and present project designs, including concept sketches, detailed drawings and 3D models.
• Work with clients to understand their needs and incorporate their feedback into the design.
• Prepare detailed plans and specifications for construction, such as site plans, floor plans, elevations and sections.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors and other professionals to meet regulatory requirements and quality standards.
• Manage project timelines, budgets and resources for timely and cost-efficient completion.
• Visit sites to monitor progress and check that construction follows the plans and specifications.
• Keep up with industry trends, building codes and new technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Professional licensure (RA) or in the process of obtaining it.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in architectural design and project management.
• LEED certification or experience with sustainable design is a plus.

Required skills

• AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Knowledge of building codes, regulations and construction methods.
• Good communication, presentation, problem-solving and attention to detail.
