Architect – Planning & Projects Design

About the role

The role works as an Architect within the Planning Section, assisting the Assistant Director – Planning & Projects Design. The architect reviews authority design submissions, provides technical feedback in line with DIEZ regulations, and ensures designs meet functional, commercial and compliance requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the design process from concept through construction, ensuring functional, efficient and technically compliant solutions.
• Review and advise on authority design submissions, coordinating with internal stakeholders, consultants and government authorities such as RTA and DEWA.
• Ensure timely authority design reviews and integration of architecture with structural and MEP systems.
• Coordinate master‑plan alignment, GIS integration and urban‑realm considerations.
• Manage consultants and contractors, conduct site inspections and address approval‑related risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture (mandatory).
• Minimum 10 years of architectural design and urban planning experience, preferably in the UAE.
• Proven knowledge of local authority regulations and standards (DIEZ, RTA, DEWA).

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of MS Office packages.
• Project Management skills.
