Architectural Finishing Inspector

About the role

This position is responsible for conducting on‑site inspections of architectural finishing works in Dubai, ensuring compliance with contract drawings, specifications, local codes and international best practice. The role supports the project team by identifying deficiencies early and facilitating corrective actions.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by the contractor and act promptly.
• Review shop drawings against contract documents, specifications, local codes and statutory requirements.
• Report any non‑conforming works to stakeholders for corrective action.
• Monitor quality, health, safety and environmental aspects of the works, ensuring compliance with contractual and QCS specifications.
• Maintain daily site records, including progress photos, for ready inspection.
• Prepare surveillance reports and Non‑Conformance Reports (NCR) when deficiencies are identified.
• Coordinate effectively between discipline‑related works and other trades.
• Provide technical input to resolve discipline‑related issues on site.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction inspection or quality control.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• Strong understanding of local building codes, statutory requirements and international best practice.
• Proven ability to produce clear reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
