Area Manager – MEA – Confectionery Business

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Area Manager to lead the growth of a leading international confectionery brand across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). Based in Dubai, you will own distributor performance, market development, and the brand’s repositioning in Saudi Arabia and the wider region.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and appoint a new distributor partner in Saudi Arabia.
• Manage and strengthen existing distributor relationships across MENA.
• Drive sales, distribution, and brand presence in priority markets.
• Identify new commercial opportunities and areas for regional growth.
• Provide competitor, category, and market insights to the European leadership team.
• Act as the primary commercial representative for the business across the region.

Required profile

• 5+ years of commercial experience in FMCG, preferably confectionery, snacks or a related category.
• Strong experience managing distributors in Middle Eastern or North African markets.
• Proven track record of developing markets and driving growth through distributor partners.
• Experience working with international brands or strong regional businesses.
• Commercially driven, hands‑on, and comfortable operating independently.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to work directly with senior leadership.
• Arabic language skills are advantageous but not essential.
