Art Teacher Internship – Stage 2 (Dubai)

About the role

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Art Teacher intern to join GEMS Legacy School in Dubai. The role involves planning and delivering engaging art lessons that foster students’ creativity and confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age‑appropriate art lessons covering drawing, painting, sketching, crafts and other creative activities.
• Prepare classroom materials, art supplies and learning resources.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Organise and support art exhibitions, displays, competitions and school events.
• Maintain a safe, organised and inspiring art classroom.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and contribute to school activities.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and participation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant qualification in Fine Arts, Art Education or a related field.
• Previous experience teaching art, preferably in a school setting.
• Strong knowledge of various art techniques and mediums.
• Good classroom management and communication skills.
• Creative, patient and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
• Ability to work effectively with students of different ages and abilities.
• Currently based locally in Dubai and available to join on short notice.
