Asset Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Asset Manager to join Wasael Property Management in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on overseeing the asset management strategy for a portfolio of properties, ensuring financial performance, risk mitigation, and integration with other service departments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a master asset management plan tailored to each property.
• Manage client assets according to investment preferences and conduct risk analysis surveys.
• Monitor and report changes in risk profiles and maintain client portfolios.
• Assess asset status, advise on strategic actions, and execute corrective measures when needed.
• Own and maintain the Asset Register, ensuring proper naming conventions and compliance with identification standards.
• Act as Process Manager for the Asset Management process and ensure its continuous improvement.
• Assist in preparing and approving property operating budgets and produce monthly, quarterly, and annual portfolio reports.
• Negotiate, implement, and monitor asset programs to increase revenue and asset values.
• Review and update policies to reflect best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field (civil, construction, mechanical) preferred; Master's degree in business management, real estate, finance or accounting is advantageous.
• Strong budgeting background with solid knowledge of real estate.
• Highly computer literate with the ability to work with financial concepts and perform financial analysis.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (including Power Query) and proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with asset and facilities management software such as FSI, Archibus, or Maximo.
• Familiarity with document management platforms like Aconex or similar.
