Assistant / Associate Professor in Public Relations

About the role

The university seeks an Assistant or Associate Professor to lead and develop its Public Relations programme. You will design, deliver and continuously improve undergraduate courses that blend theory with real‑world practice.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and teach core and specialised PR courses, including Principles of PR, Communication Campaigns, PR Writing, Digital PR, Public Opinion Research and Professional Ethics.
• Apply contemporary PR practices, focusing on digital content management and campaign performance measurement.
• Integrate theory and practice through case studies, field projects and workshops in partnership with public and private organisations.
• Assess student progress, provide academic feedback and supervise graduation projects.
• Contribute to curriculum development, course management and continuous improvement aligned with university standards.
• Participate in college and university initiatives, research activities, committees and accreditation processes.
• Build relationships with professional and community organisations to support field training and professional engagement.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of university teaching experience with a proven record of excellence.
• Research published in peer‑reviewed journals indexed in Scopus.
• Commitment to curriculum development, quality assurance and academic accreditation.
• Ability to prepare course files, learning outcomes reports and continuous improvement plans.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in Arabic and English.
