Assistant Banquet Manager

About the role

The Assistant Banquet Manager supports the Banquet Manager in delivering seamless event experiences at JW Marriott Marquis Dubai. This role ensures staff teamwork, guest satisfaction, and proper setup of banquet spaces.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate banquet set‑up, ensuring cleanliness, correct furniture placement and adherence to guest specifications.
• Inspect staff grooming and attire, correcting deficiencies and fostering a professional appearance.
• Communicate with guests and internal departments to fulfill special event arrangements and resolve issues.
• Assist in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating and coaching banquet team members.
• Maintain safety standards, report incidents, and complete required safety training.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related banquet or hospitality experience.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in a similar environment.
