Assistant Buyer - Skincare & Beauty

About the role

Lifestyle, a retailer of Beauty, Fashion and Home products with more than 160 stores across the GCC and a growing e-commerce platform, is hiring an Assistant Buyer for its Bath, Body & Skincare category. The role reports to the Associate General Manager - Buying and works with Retail Operations, Planning, E-commerce and Finance.

Key responsibilities

• Help plan buying calendars and events, understand suppliers and buying fairs, and monitor order status, inventory and budget orders weekly
• Support margin achievement by understanding pricing and costing, and help set retail selling prices and fix currency corrections
• Support sales achievement by reviewing sales projections and product performance, and optimise reorders and allocations
• Develop seasonal ranges with buyers, update range files, review samples within 3 days and maintain catalogue lists
• Build and maintain supplier relationships, support timely deliveries and understand shipment and LC terms
• Review stock and sales reports daily, check GRNs after 45 days, monitor central warehouse stock and handle fast, slow and end-of-range items
• Monitor planogram implementation in stores, survey competitors regularly and conduct competitor analysis and R&D research

Required profile

• Minimum 2 to 4 years in beauty or retail buying
• Experience in skincare, beauty or bath and body preferred
• Exposure to multi-brand and omni-channel retail
