About the role

Join The Lana – Dorchester Collection in Dubai as an Assistant Chief Engineer, overseeing hotel engineering operations and ensuring exceptional guest experiences while protecting the owner’s assets.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure efficient operation of the hotel property, supervising equipment maintenance, repair services, and protection of assets.
• Lead and supervise the engineering team, contractors, and subordinate managers, managing structural aspects, grounds, and external facilities.
• Support the development and execution of preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Assist in preparing the annual Capital Expenditure Plan by identifying asset replacement needs and recommending improvement projects.
• Lead small CAPEX projects from scope definition through budgeting, contractor selection, execution, hand‑over, and close‑out, ensuring timely and safe delivery.
• Collaborate closely with operational departments to minimise disruption from maintenance activities and support an exceptional guest experience.
• Provide senior management with advice on engineering support, environmental controls, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, safety standards, and proper documentation of tests and surveys.
