Assistant Design Manager & Architect of Record

About the role

As part of AESG’s growing multidisciplinary team, you will support design management across complex projects while acting independently as the Architect of Record. You will ensure architectural documentation is technically accurate, code‑compliant and ready for permitting.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate architectural, engineering and specialist consultant inputs throughout all project stages.
• Review and certify the technical accuracy and code compliance of architectural drawings and specifications.
• Prepare and submit documentation to local authorities (e.g., Dubai Development Authority) and address authority comments.
• Support senior design managers on larger or more complex assignments.
• Bridge design intent with regulatory requirements to produce permit‑ready packages.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• Post‑graduate experience in architectural design and design management within the UAE/GCC.
• Proven track record as an Architect of Record or Design Manager, including successful design approvals.
• Strong knowledge of UAE/GCC building codes, local authority regulations and permitting processes.
