Assistant General Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in overseeing daily operations of SUSHISAMBA Abu Dhabi, a high‑volume lifestyle dining venue located in Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers. The role combines hands‑on leadership with commercial responsibility to ensure exceptional guest experiences and strong financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in managing overall restaurant operations and achieving revenue and profitability targets.
• Lead, coach and develop the front‑of‑house team, maintaining a strong floor presence to ensure service excellence.
• Monitor and control labour costs, productivity, expenses and other controllable costs.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, P&L reviews and overall commercial performance.
• Handle VIP guests, guest feedback and service recovery professionally.
• Collaborate with Culinary, Bar, Reservations, Marketing and other departments for seamless operations.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management and succession planning.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety standards and operational procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of progressive F&B management experience, including recent experience as an Assistant General Manager.
• Proven background in premium or luxury lifestyle dining and high‑volume, fast‑paced environments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large, multicultural teams.
• Strong commercial acumen with solid understanding of P&L, budgeting and forecasting.
