Assistant Guest Manager – Luxury Resort

About the role

The Assistant Guest Manager ensures smooth guest check‑ins, accurate account setup, and high‑quality service delivery at Ajman Saray, a Luxury Collection Resort. This role combines front‑desk operations with supervisory responsibilities to support both guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Process all guest check‑ins, verify identity, assign rooms, and issue room keys.
• Set up and maintain accurate guest accounts, enter Marriott Rewards information, and ensure rates match market codes.
• Secure payment prior to key issuance, handle all payment types, vouchers, and charges, and balance receipts.
• Compile daily reports, cashier and closing reports, and manage contingency lists.
• Provide guests with directions, property information, and fulfill special requests by coordinating with appropriate staff.
• Notify Loss Prevention/Security of any theft reports and obtain manual authorizations as needed.
• Assist management in training, evaluating, counseling, and coaching employees, promoting a fair‑treatment culture.
• Maintain safety standards, report accidents, and ensure personal appearance is professional.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year related work experience.
• At least 1 year supervisory experience.
• No specific license or certification required.

Required skills

• POS system operation.
• Computer data entry and information retrieval.
