Assistant Housekeeping Manager

About the role

Assistant Housekeeping Manager supports the housekeeping team at Marriott Hotels & Resorts in Abu Dhabi, ensuring rooms and public areas meet quality standards and coordinating with other departments.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and pool areas after cleaning to ensure quality standards are met.
• Run sold room reports, verify room status, prioritize cleaning, and update departing guest room status.
• Act as liaison between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry to coordinate efforts.
• Document and resolve issues with discrepant rooms, communicate changes in room assignments, and complete required paperwork.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of supervisory experience and 1 year of related housekeeping experience.
• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 55 lb unassisted and moving housekeeping carts on uneven surfaces.
• Commitment to follow company safety, security, and confidentiality policies.

• Proficient in using computers and point‑of‑sale systems to enter and retrieve work‑related information.
• Clear and professional communication skills for interacting with guests and staff.
