Assistant Laundry Manager

About the role

The Assistant Laundry Manager supports the Laundry Manager in overseeing daily hotel laundry and linen operations. The role ensures guest laundry, hotel linen, uniforms and other textiles are processed efficiently, meeting luxury‑hotel quality, hygiene and presentation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate laundry team members to maintain high productivity.
• Monitor washing, drying, pressing, folding, sorting and distribution of all linen and textiles.
• Ensure processing follows approved procedures, fabric‑care instructions and quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation throughout the laundry area.
• Control inventory levels, conduct regular stock‑taking and manage linen/uniform requisitions with other departments.
• Handle guest laundry and special requests promptly and with appropriate care.
• Monitor equipment condition, report technical issues and assist with preventive maintenance.
• Control use of laundry chemicals and supplies while minimizing waste and costs.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of laundry experience, preferably in a 5‑star hotel or luxury hospitality environment.
• Previous supervisory or team‑lead experience in hotel laundry operations.
• Strong knowledge of commercial laundry processes, linen handling, fabric care and laundry chemicals.
• Understanding of hygiene, health & safety and quality‑control procedures.
• Experience with industrial laundry equipment and basic troubleshooting.
• Professional appearance and commitment to luxury guest service standards.
