Assistant Manager Compliance (AVP)

About the role

The Assistant Manager Compliance supports the Head of CIBG Compliance and Squad Lead in day‑to‑day KYC and name‑screening activities, ensuring adherence to UAE regulatory standards and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Handle KYC and name‑screening referrals, review high‑risk cases within SLA TAT, and act as point of contact for Compliance Assurance Unit and Internal Audit.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching and quality assurance to Compliance Officers and Analysts, including complex case reviews.
• Support Squad Lead in business scrums, act as backup during absences, and ensure continuity of advisory support.
• Prepare management reports, assist with operational risk activities, and champion Lean processes within the compliance function.
• Maintain and update SOPs, coordinate with stakeholders, and represent CIBG Compliance in ad‑hoc projects.

Required profile

• Graduate with 5‑10 years of corporate banking compliance experience.
• Strong knowledge of UAE regulatory rules, FATCA/CRS requirements and banking law.
• Analytical thinking, risk‑based problem solving and informed decision‑making capability.
