Assistant Manager - Finance Shared Services

About the role

The Assistant Manager will support day‑to‑day operations of the accounting and tax practice within IFZA’s Shared Service Center, delivering high‑quality client service and ensuring robust financial oversight. This role combines leadership, analytical thinking and operational management, ideal for professionals who enjoy managing people while staying hands‑on with finance.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for client escalations, coordinating preparation and review of accounting reports, tax filings and compliance documents.
• Evaluate existing workflows, identify improvement opportunities and implement best practices, documentation and automation initiatives.
• Supervise junior team members, allocate workloads, monitor progress and ensure deadlines are met across accounting and tax projects.
• Oversee invoicing cycles, ensure accuracy, timely issuance and follow‑up on outstanding payments, and track project budgets and revenue forecasts.
• Ensure all accounting and tax work complies with regulatory requirements and internal quality standards, supporting audits and maintaining organized records.
• Liaise with other departments to deliver cross‑functional projects and respond to ad‑hoc accounting and tax requests.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification from a recognized body (ACCA, CA) and a degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 7‑8 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Strong exposure to IFRS and experience in tax compliance.
• Proven ability to organise, track issues and meet deadlines across multiple teams and clients.
