Assistant Manager Financial Services – Governance, Risk & Compliance

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Manager to lead governance, risk and compliance initiatives within our Financial Services division in Dubai. The role involves overseeing internal audit engagements and advising on sustainable control frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Manage internal audit engagements under co‑sourcing and outsourcing contracts.
• Provide advisory services for the design, documentation, and transformation of internal control systems based on the COSO framework.
• Develop and implement a sustainable corporate governance model.
• Perform independent reviews of the internal audit function in line with IIA standards and the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF).
• Develop, implement and review compliance management systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CA, ACCA and CIA qualification.
• 7‑8 years of experience in internal audit, corporate governance, enterprise risk management and quality assurance within the financial services industry.
• Proven experience managing teams and handling multiple engagements simultaneously.
• Experience conducting risk‑based internal audits and developing policies and procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the COSO internal control framework.
• Familiarity with IIA standards for internal audit quality reviews.
• Understanding of the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF).
