Assistant Manager – Governance, Risk & Compliance (Financial Services)

About the role

The Assistant Manager will support KPMG Lower Gulf Limited in delivering high‑quality governance, risk and compliance services to financial services clients. This role combines internal audit management with advisory expertise to build sustainable control environments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage internal audit engagements under co‑sourcing and outsourcing contracts.
• Provide advisory services on developing, documenting and transforming internal control systems using the COSO framework.
• Develop and implement sustainable corporate governance models.
• Perform independent quality reviews of internal audit functions in line with IIA standards and the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF).
• Design, implement and review compliance management systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CA, ACCA and CIA qualification.
• 7‑8 years of experience in internal audit, corporate governance, enterprise risk management and quality assurance within the financial services industry.
• Proven ability to manage teams and handle multiple engagements simultaneously.
• Experience conducting risk‑based internal audits and developing policies and procedures.
