Assistant Manager, Meeting & Events

About the role

The Assistant Manager solicits and books all types of events or corporate business from various leads, responding promptly to telephone and walk‑in enquiries about events and catering space. The role requires strong knowledge of banquet facilities, market capabilities, and the ability to secure events for the property.

Key responsibilities

• Meet sales objectives on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
• Ensure comprehensive coverage of the portfolio and achieve targets.
• Distribute Banquet Event Orders to all departments and attend daily briefings.
• Assist clients in programme planning, packaging and menu selections.
• Finalize bookings and maximize revenue through up‑selling and yield management.
• Supervise and assist with banquet operations before, during and after events.
• Collect guest feedback and encourage completion of the Guest Satisfaction Survey.
• Maintain detailed product knowledge of YPH and competitors.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma, preferably from a university.
• 2‑3 years of experience in a similar hospitality field.
• Strong administrative, leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle complaints with diplomacy.
