Assistant Manager – Public Sector GRC

About the role

The position is based in Abu Dhabi and focuses on delivering Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) and internal audit services to public‑sector and government‑related entities. You will lead engagements, manage client relationships and support the development of risk‑aware frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver GRC and internal audit engagements for public‑sector clients.
• Manage day‑to‑day project execution, including planning, fieldwork, quality reviews and reporting.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring timely delivery and high‑quality outputs.
• Prepare and review project deliverables, reports, presentations and executive summaries.
• Design and assess governance frameworks, policies and operating models aligned with leading practices.
• Support enterprise risk management initiatives such as risk assessments, registers and appetite frameworks.
• Conduct internal control reviews and assist with compliance assessments against local regulations and international standards.
• Support public‑sector transformation initiatives related to governance maturity, accountability and transparency.
• Supervise and coach associates and senior associates, reviewing their work for accuracy and quality.
• Assist senior leadership with business development, proposal drafting and identifying opportunities within public‑sector accounts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management or a related field; a Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, CRISC, CGEIT, CPA or ACCA are preferred.
• 6–8 years of relevant experience in GRC, risk advisory, internal audit or consulting, preferably with public‑sector or government entities.
• Experience in a professional services or Big‑4 advisory environment is highly desirable.

• Fluent English (written and spoken); Arabic is strongly preferred.
