Assistant Manager – Restaurant

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Restaurant will drive revenue growth and ensure operational excellence across the store. This role develops and implements standard operating procedures, oversees recruitment, training and staff performance, and represents the Apparel Group brand through exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets and profitability metrics such as units per transaction, average transaction value, and sales per square foot.
• Develop, implement and maintain retail SOPs and visual merchandising standards.
• Recruit, hire, train and coach staff on sales techniques, customer service and brand standards.
• Monitor inventory, manage slow‑moving stock and ensure stock security in coordination with Brand Managers.
• Control operational costs through automation and efficient resource utilization.
• Conduct performance appraisals, set KPIs/KRAs and develop succession plans for direct reports.
• Lead store design and layout projects, providing guidance to architects and project teams.
• Ensure compliance with loss‑prevention policies, audit guidelines and company procedures.
• Facilitate regional sales and operations meetings, providing feedback to Area and Store Managers.
• Support brand visibility initiatives and contribute to loyalty programme activities.
