Assistant Manager – Sales

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Sales will drive revenue growth for Apparel Group’s retail stores in Dubai by implementing SOPs, overseeing visual merchandising, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. The role combines operational oversight, staff development, and strategic sales planning to meet and exceed store performance targets.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve sales and profitability targets through metrics such as units per transaction, average transaction value, and sales per square foot.
• Develop, implement and enforce Standard Operating Procedures and loss‑prevention guidelines across all stores.
• Recruit, train and coach store staff on sales techniques, customer service and brand standards.
• Monitor inventory, manage slow‑moving stock and ensure stock security in collaboration with Brand Managers.
• Lead visual merchandising execution and participate in new store design and layout projects.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, set KPIs for direct reports and drive employee development plans.

Required profile

• Proven experience in retail sales management with a track record of meeting sales targets.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities to motivate and develop store teams.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with Area Managers, Brand Managers and senior leadership.
• Analytical mindset to interpret sales data and make operational decisions.
