About the role
Viya, the UAE's golf and hospitality group, is hiring an Assistant Mechanic for its golf course maintenance department in Abu Dhabi. The position reports to the Senior Mechanic and supports the maintenance of the machines and equipment used on the golf course, keeping them properly maintained and in safe condition.
Key responsibilities
- Repair equipment, machines and petrol carts when they break down.
- Carry out monthly servicing of all equipment and petrol carts (oil, filters, etc.).
- Back-lap and grind reel blades and bed knives.
- Adjust the cutting height of mowing machines when needed.
- Perform other tasks as required.
- Take part in club improvement activities, such as committee work (Staff, Green Theme, Food, Sport) and training as a Fire Marshall or First Aid.
- Apply the 4 Service Steps to serve internal and external customers, and follow information security policies and attend awareness sessions.
Required profile
- Experience at the level of Mechanic III.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar post in a reputable organisation.
- Knowledge of English.
- Teamwork.
