Assistant Professor of Accounting (Spring 2026/2027)

About the role

The College of Business Administration at Ajman University has an opening for the position of Assistant Professor of Accounting, starting in Spring 2026/2027. The selected candidate will have primary teaching and research interests in Accounting and will be expected to teach in graduate and undergraduate programs.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver, and assess graduate and undergraduate courses in Accounting, Taxation, Auditing, and related areas.
• Engage in innovative and technology‑based approaches to teaching and learning.
• Provide academic advising services to students.
• Conduct high‑quality research and publish outcomes in reputable journals and conferences.
• Participate in committee and service tasks at department, college, and university levels.
• Actively promote the growth and visibility of Ajman University.
• Provide consultancy and industry‑facing services to university partners and the business community.
• Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Accounting from a reputable, preferably internationally ranked, AACSB‑accredited institution.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) preferred.
• Minimum two years of teaching experience at an internationally reputable university, preferably AACSB‑accredited.
• Demonstrable record of excellence in developing and teaching courses such as Managerial Accounting, Computerized Accounting, Taxation, and Auditing at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Outstanding record of research and peer‑reviewed publications in top‑tier Accounting or related journals (SCOPUS, ABDC, ABS).
• Experience supervising student projects and dissertations.
• Excellent record of professional and community service.
