Assistant Professor of Aviation

About the role

Abu Dhabi University is looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Professor of Aviation to join its Department of Aviation on the Abu Dhabi campus. This full‑time faculty position will support teaching, research and service activities that advance the university’s aviation programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in aviation and related subjects.
• Develop and continuously improve curriculum and teaching materials.
• Conduct scholarly research and publish findings in reputable journals.
• Engage with industry partners to create internship, project and employment opportunities for students.
• Participate in departmental committees, accreditation activities and community outreach.

Required profile

• PhD in Aviation or a closely related field (preferred).
• Significant professional experience in the aviation sector.
• Strong communication, collaboration and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluency in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience using aviation‑specific software.
