Assistant Professor of Supply Chain Management and Logistics

About the role

The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) is hiring an Assistant Professor in Supply Chain Management and Logistics within its College of Business and Economics (CBE), which has been AACSB accredited since 2000. The post is open to candidates who combine teaching, research and service to the university.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in supply chain, logistics and operations management, using practical, applied teaching methods.
• Develop and sustain an internally and/or externally funded research programme, publishing results in reputable refereed journals.
• Promote the growth of the Business Administration programme and the College of Business and Economics.
• Advise students and provide service to the university, college, department and community.

Required profile

• Ph.D. or doctorate in Supply Chain Management or a related field, preferably from an AACSB-accredited school.
• Demonstrable research capability and research experience in supply chain management and logistics.
• Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in supply chain, logistics and operations management.
• Active researcher with a strong record of scholarly work; preferred: research and industry experience in supply chain and logistics.

Required skills

• Thorough knowledge of supply chain management theory and practice.
• Commitment to applied research and to publishing in refereed journals.
