About the role
The Assistant Reservation Manager supports the Reservations team at Marriott Al Forsan, ensuring accurate room blocks, reservations, and group market codes while delivering exceptional guest service.
Key responsibilities
- Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail.
- Verify room type availability, rates, and explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies.
- Accommodate and document special guest requests and ensure proper billing according to accounting policies.
- Maintain and update the reservation system with accurate data and troubleshoot guest issues.
- Assist management with training, scheduling, counseling, and coaching of staff.
- Uphold company policies, confidentiality, and professional appearance at all times.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 2 years of related reservations experience.
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
Required skills
- Proficiency in using reservation software and data entry.
- Strong verbal communication and professional telephone etiquette.
